Batavierenrace
The biggest student relay in the world sinds 1974.
The Batavierenrace is the largest relay race in the world, with participants running from Nijmegen to Enschede every year. The 53rd Batavierenrace will be held May 9 and 10 in the form of an alternative Batavierenrace.
The alternative Batavierenrace will take place in the form of a 20-hour run. On Friday, May 9, 2025, at 8 p.m., the starting signal for the 20-hour run will sound. From then on it is up to you as a team to run as many laps as possible within those 20 hours, on the University Campus in Enschede. A lap around the campus will be about 5 kilometers. You will compete from Friday, May 9, 22:00 until Saturday, May 10, 18:00 to run as many laps as possible.
Teams may be up to 30 people in size. There is no minimum number of participants tied to this alternative event. There is room for 60 teams at this alternative event. Per team you pay for 30 team members, this is 25 euros per team member. This includes a place to sleep at the campsite.
