Liberation Day is celebrated each year on 5 May to mark the end of the German occupation in WW II.
Celebrating freedom in Enschede on May 5th is like a party without bounds. Bevrijdingsdag Enschede is a festival for everyone and takes place at the University of Twente. The kids blow off steam at the children's play areas, while you take your time to taste the delicacies at the food trucks and listen to live music.
