De Museumfabriek
The Museum Factory in Enschede is not a traditional museum where you can only look at works of art and other special objects from a distance. On the contrary: you will be surprised, amazed and get to work yourself.
The Museum Factory in Enschede is bustling!
The coherence of things
The Museum Factory is all about the ‘connection of things’. It is about how nature, culture, science and technology influence each other.
The Wunderkammer shows the richness of the collections and the magic of all the special objects. You see how people look at the animals when developing robots. You will learn about world travelers and their routes. You walk under a starry sky. You will experience the magic of white and become acquainted with ancient sagas and legends.
Participate
In the Makerspace you let your creativity run wild. Here you can make the most special things with the 3D printer, laser cutter, foam cutter and much more equipment. In the Observatory, on the roof of the museum, you can take a look at the universe. And lectures and workshops are organized in the BankGiroLoterij Auditorium.
The Museum Factory is bustling, in short! Are you coming?
Holiday festivals
Every school holiday, the Museum Factory organizes themed holiday festivals, where the entire museum is dedicated to one theme in terms of activities. For example, the Inventors Factory and the Fairytale Factory are on the program for the upcoming holidays.
Are you always curious about how things are made? Then come and tinker with our inventors! Or get lost in our magical fairytale world! Check our website www.demuseumfabriek.nl for the current range.
Observatory Coenraad ter Kuile
The Museum Factory has a real observatory on top of the tower's roof. In the stargazing season (winter time), the Observatory Coenraad ter Kuile organizes a viewing evening and/or lecture every Tuesday. The program can be found in the agenda.
Reading over coffee
Every month there is a lecture around coffee time. The subjects are very diverse and always related to objects from the museum collection of De Museumfabriek. Look for the program at www.demuseumfabriek.nl/agenda.
