Kozakkenpark
Park, playground and trap field all in one, in northwest Enschede.
The Kozakkenpark is adjacent to the neighborhood of 't Zwik and hosts a playground and a pedestrian field. The park contains a monument commemorating the prisoners of war from 1914 - 1918.
The Kozakkenpark borders the neighborhood 't Zwik and is actually no more than a glorified park, but a park with a memorial column, rare in the Netherlands, commemorating (foreign) victims of the First World War. The section on the other side of the Goolkatenweg houses a playground and a pedestrian field.
The park is named after the Kozakken who camped here during the liberation of Enschede from French rule in the early 19th century.
Playground Kozakkenpark is a cozy neighborhood playground in Enschede with fun play equipment. Outside school hours, the playground building regularly hosts games and craft afternoons, bingo and children's circus. Check the site to see what is going on in the playground.
