Landgoed de Hooge Boekel was founded by the Van Heek family in the 19th century. The beautiful mansion (from 1926) and the garden, designed by a Delden garden architect, have been fully restored through renovation and maintenance work, a beautiful piece of Twente cultural history. Portions of the area have been opened up for wonderful biking and hiking.
