Twenthe airfield is an old airbase in Twente characterised by the control tower, runways, shelters, bunkers, hangars and an old fire station.
The historic military buildings of Vliegveld Twenthe give the site a mysterious vibe. Over the years the old airfield was used as a base for many F16 fighter jets. The site has been repurposed in 2015 but the atmosphere and feel has been preserved.
Vliegveld Twenthe is strategically located between the Dutch Randstad and the German Ruhr area, making it particularly suitable for events with an international character. Accessibility is perfect thanks to its location along the A1 motorway. The 7-hectare car park also ensures that there are enough parking spaces for large events.
