The Wesselerbrinkpark is located on the south side of Enschede. The park dates from the 60-70s and has a function at urban and neighborhood level. The park with an area of about 17 ha also forms the green heart of the neighborhood of the same name.
The park has a gradual transition from culture to nature. The head of the park bustles with culture while from the middle the park turns into a natural area with ecological management.
Originally, the area where the park was laid out was an agricultural area around erve 'de Wesseler'. As part of the 'Wesselerbrink Expansion Plan' adopted in 1963, there was room on the south side of this plan for the construction of a park.
